Eric’s front almost 3 years later. This garden has been minimally maintained.
Calamagrostis Karl Foerster provide the sort of structure in a landscape usually occupied by boxwoods. Artemesia, catmint, and an olive tree in the foreground.
Here’s an MML design/install that features catmint, millet, euphorbia, and pineapple guavas in the background.

Here’s Dana doing some sheet mulching for an MML design/install in Santa Rosa. The newspaper is an effective weed block, but it decomposes as the plants fill in.
Here is Julian placing cobblestones in a patio, part of a backyard renovation that we did together.
Here is some verbena and oregano in a garden installed by MML in 2004, which it continues to maintain.

Here’s another winter view of the garden an Rancho Pillow. In the foreground is a carex testacea grass, some libertia peregrinians, and a fuyu persimon tree. In the backround are mostly fava beans, which I seeded in the Fall.
